(Firekit comes forward) From thes day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Firepaw." *beckons warrior forward* Ravenfeather, you are ready for your first apprentice. You shall be mentor to Firepaw." (warrior comes forward* Ravenfeather, you are strong a couragous. I trust you will pass on these qualities to Firepaw." (warrior and apprentice touch noses; Crowd chants new name)
apprentice-warrior:
"I, Bluestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to in as a warrior his turn. Firepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" (Apprentice agrees) "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. Firepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Fireheart. StarClan honors your *blah blah blah* and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." (leader puts muzzle on new warriors head, new warrior licks leaders shoulder; Clan chants name of new warrior)
Name changing ceremony:
"StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name of this cat, for it no longer stands for who she is. From this day forward, this warrior shall be known as ______. We honor your *blah blah blah* and welcome you as a full warrior." (Leader rests nose on warriors head and warrior licks shoulder)
